Author & Artist
Y.A. Bulger
About the Writer
The author spent twenty years in the computer industry eagerly waiting to be free from her demanding career. Upon retiring in 2016, Yvonne Bulger was given the opportunity to write and to unpack the storage locker of ideas she had been storing in her mind for many years.
Devoting countless hours to this novel, the words flowed steadily into a stream of chapters, weaving together the genres she was profoundly fond of. Yvonne managed to seamlessly intertwine the realms of science fiction, fantasy, magic and our real world.
Yvonne aspired to provide her readers with a unique journey that would propel them into an epic chronicle. Crafting to enthral the all-encompassing array of wonderfully mysterious, and sometimes colliding characters, in such a way as to captivate the reader.
Along with magic and mystery, as well as an unusually refreshing and imaginative take involving awful aliens and some good guys, the story has many twists. Yvonne hoped that readers would be engaged as they took a mystical yet strangely realistic exploration from Earth to a planet far away. But she knew that the novel had to be a one-of-a-kind story, and she would strive to make it just that.
Above all, she hoped to create a conduit for her readers, allowing them to cross into a dimension strikingly different from their daily lives.
It is the author's firm belief that having waited so long to write this novel was meant to be; it was the right time for an easy- to- read, feel- good book that she wished would meet the expectations of her readers by allowing them to drift away and forget everything for just a little while.
Filled with adequate action, fascinating worlds and characters, an overload of intrigue, and above all, a message, the author hopes you will not regret signing up for the expedition.
When she is not writing, Yvonne is an amateur pastel pencil artist, an avid amateur astronomer, the wife of her magnificently patient husband, Gord, and a mom to a little white bichon shih tzu cross aptly named Laika.
The author resides in Saskatchewan, Canada, in a rural setting where, in Spring and Summer, she grows a vegetable garden while spending her late Fall and Winter writing, drawing, and gazing into the night sky with her telescope whenever the clouds allow.
